More ear infection

So, on the 10th Lydia woke up all boogery, so I called her doctor, we got her in and turns out SHE has an ear infection too! Poor baby. So back to Publix for free antibiotics! Sigh.

I had gotten a coupon in the mail for target for $5 off $25 worth of baby products, we needed diapers, but I know walmart has the big boxes cheaper, so I sat down to see what else I needed. Jumbo packs of diapers were on sale for $8.99. She needed Allergy medicine (Childrens Zyrtec or the Store Brand) We can always use wipes, and ointment. So I got:
  • 2 jumbo packs of pampers for $8.99 each
  • 1 - 4 oz tube A+D ointment $3.84
  • 1 pack of 77 pampers wipes $2.77
  • 1 4 oz Childrens Zyrtec $9.84

Subtotal $34.43 + tax

  • -$5 baby products coupon
  • - $2 off Pampers jumbo pack (target coupon)
  • -$1.50 off Pampers jumbo pack (mfr coupon)
  • -$2 off A+D ointment (target coupon)
  • -$1 off Pampers Wipes (target coupon)
  • -$3 off Children's Zyrtec (mfr coupon)

New Total $19.93 + tax

Not my best work, but certainly not the worst.

Free Pics, and Meds, and Maybe a Burger

My FREE Photo Cards came FedEx today. I'm quite pleased with them. I could have made the pics bigger, but at least they're not thumbnails.

I had to go to the Dr Today. Double ear infection and Bronchitis. Only good thing about that? Publix offers FREE oral Antibiotics! Dr gave me Cipro and Amoxicillin. (Now If my FREE Walgreens GC from mypoints comes, I'll spend it on Monistat. TMI? LOL)

Oh, and speaking of Free, those of you that follow me on Facebook or my occasional Xanga post may remember me lamenting the fact that I've been without my thryroid medicine for 4 months. Thank GOD for a month worth of FREE samples at the Doctor! He also gave me an albuterol inhaler!

Tomorrow in Whataburger's 12 Days of Christmas is a free Justaburger, maybe I'll treat myself. I have $1.94 in my PP account so I can buy a soda to accompany it. Depends on how I feel.

If you haven't already become a fan of Stacy's Pita Chips (on Facebook) and click the link that says "Free Stacy's" They'll send you a coupon for a free bag up to $3.99 I think it was for the first 65K so hurry!

I got a new Swagbucks referral today, if you're not signed up yet, please sign up HERE.
I've earned $45 worth of Amazon gift cards, and $5 in my Paypal account and been able to donate to a worthy cause.

I emptied out my swagbucks account to donate to the toy drive. I sure could use that money at Amazon, but I wanted to do good for someone else. $$ is REALLY tight here, but GOD has provided all our needs, Amen!

Last Thursday (Thanksgiving) I was doing laundry and had an encounter with this:
That is, the metal coin slot on the dryer had an encounter with the top of my head.
This was after I had cleaned up a bit in the ER.

This is the top of my head after it had been cleaned up a bit.

This is the dried bloodstained shirt I was wearing. 24 hours later. (promise it is the same shirt, just a different light)

This is what I added to my wash.

This is the shirt after the dryer. Any questions? download a coupon here

Swagbucks and other goodies

Thursday the 5th I cashed in 45 swagbucks for another $5 Amazon Gift Card.

Saturday the 7th, we went to Red Robin for dinner. (I had a coupon for a free gourmet burger for my birthday) They then brought out a sundae and sang for me (groan) I gave Fred the Sundae so that I could save room for my free Non Fat Peppermint Mocha Latte from Starbucks.

Sunday we were invited over to new friends of ours home for "dinner" after church. (it is Breakfast, dinner, and Supper in the south, I still have to get used to that)

Monday was my birthday, and money is verytight this week. So Fred got me a card and brought me a 99 cent bag of candy corn from CVS. (he did get me a new laptop last month so I am not complaining in the least)

I found out I won a cookbook from Jennie's blog so that was exciting!

I got 3 new referrals (Thanks Jeani, Sarah, and Charlene) on swagbucks, so even though I missed the code on Saturday, Sunday and Tuesday, I am right now at 43 Swagbucks (from zero less than a week ago) WOO HOO!

I got another peppermint Mocha Latte with my Starbucks Gift Card. My phone died, but Fred had his old RAZR, (which is nicer than my Nokia was) so I've got a new (to me) phone.

I got a card from my Mother in Law with $20 in it so I got a $10 gift card at Walmart for gas, some food for Lydia and a can of gravy. Walmart Still has the Gerber Yogurt Blends Try Me Free packages. (one per household, I sent a refund to my mom, my sister, my sister's boyfriend) And Lydia likes the yogurt, so that is a win win.

Today my Free Pans from My Coke Rewards arrived. It's been a decent week, and we survived the hurricane/tropical storm.

I tried to go to WIC yesterday, but they were closed because of the storm (It is a walk in only clinic, they don't take appointments) and they were closed today for Veteran's day. But like the widow woman at Zarephath The LORD gave us just enough formula to get us through until tomorrow.

I just picked up a mess of coupons that some woman had on freecycle, they are still in the car, so I will need to go through them tonight. On the way back I drove past CVS and saw they have cheerios 2 boxes for $3. I have a coupn for $1 OFF 2 various General Mills Cereals (including cheerios) and since they are one of Lyd's fave self feeding snacks (and usually have $1.50 off pampers coupons on the back of the 8.9 oz box - taps temple) I'll get them before the sale is over.

Please sign up for SwagBucks if you haven't (sign up under my referral if you don't mind) see over there on the left in the widget where it says "sign up"? Click there pretty please! If you have any questions about it's legitimacy ask me. The proof is in the pudding!

You Data

Youdata.com/join/mrsknapp

Have you tried Youdata? It is an innovative marketing strategy. How many times have you seen ads that have NOTHING to do with anything you care about? Quite a bit, right? Youdata actually PAYS you to view ads that are associated with things that interest YOU! It is geared to YOU and your likes! Amazing huh? I've been using Youdata since May. It is great, you have a "mefile" which you answer as much or as little as you like so they can pinpoint what ads will appeal to you. You will NOT get rich with youdata. But hey, why not get paid, for paying attention?

To sign up you need:
  • a paypal account. (They pay out every week on Fridays)
  • the ability to recieve One and only one text message on your cell phone. (this is for account verification)

Like I said, you won't get rich, but in these days, every penny counts, right? I've made probably close to $30 since May. Won't you click on my referral link and sign up? Youdata.com/join/mrsknapp I promise you won't be sorry.

I like diet coke. A few years ago, Coca Cola began running a rewards program, "My Coke Rewards" for every 20 oz bottle or 2 liter bottle you bought there was a code worth 3 points in the lid, and for every 12 pack, there was a code for 10 points. I worked outside the home at the time and usually bought 3 diet cokes throughout the day at work and each week I would see where 12 packs were on sale and we would buy them. The points quickly added up.

I began to scour the recycling bins everytime I went into the break room, and a few people would give me their lids. A "mild" obsession ensued. First I would cash in 100 points for a coupon for a free 12 pack, then I realized I could get more "bang for my buck" and for less than 200 points I could get a 12 month magazine subscription. For 3 years in a row my mother, and 3 sisters got a magazine subscription from me, and last year (since I was expecting) I got myself a subscription to Parents magazine.

Well, here we are in FL now, and $$ is tight. I have 2 skillets, but one is on it's (porverbial) last legs. I've been saving my coke points since November and I had 835. I was just scanning the coke rewards site and saw that I could redeem 1300 points for a 3 pc Farberware skillet set. So, I made it my mission to do so.

Most women would be thrilled if hubby came home with flowers or jewelry or even candy. I was tickled when Fred came home with a lid for me. Ha ha

We had a friend staying with us for about 6 weeks and he got in on it too, he would go to toss stuff in the dumpster and if there was a coke product near the top he would grab it for me. (I found out that the 24 packs offered 20 points. I put out an APB on Facebook asking for codes that friends would just be throwing out otherwise. In less than a month I had earned the 465 points I needed to get my pans. (Now I just have to wait 4-6 weeks for delivery. But I'll have some trusty new pans!

I'll say it again, if anyone has any coke codes that they don't plan to use, send them my way. I'll gladly use them! (My account balance is down in the single digits right now)

Mypoints

mypoints is an oldie but goodie here on the net. I've been a member for probably close to 10 years.

How MyPoints Works
Earn Points

  • Earn Points for doing what you already do online: shopping, reading emails, playing games, searching the web, taking surveys, and more!
  • The more you do, the more Points you'll earn.

Shop or Book Travel

  • All the stores and brands you already love and trust are in one place, making shopping, booking travel and earning Points a breeze.
  • Find the best products, prices and deals.

Redeem Rewards

  • Use your Points to get gift cards for nearly 100 different stores and restaurants -- or enjoy gas cards, airline miles and hotel discounts. You pick the rewards you want.
  • Gift cards are quickly delivered to your door, free of charge.

If you are not a member send me your email address, and I'll send you a referral link. (you get points for people you refer too, so it's a win/win situation.

I do minimal shopping online so my points just from reading emails usually net me at least $50 worth of gift cards a year. Hey, it's free!

Skort

Thanks to my mom, my sisters and my friend Renee I have tons of onesies for Lydia, but I have only a few skirts. Thanks to Swagbucks (see the widget on the left? Click there) I had $15 worth of Amazon Gift Cards waiting to be used. I ordered 2 skorts from The Children's Place through Amazon for $3.99 each plus $5 shipping. I still have a credit with Amazon toward my next purchase! Some people may not feel like it was a "bargain" but I'm happy with it!

Frann's Daughter

My Mother (Frann) was thrifty. As a child we referred to her in the alliterave as "Frugal Frann". It always had a negative connotation. My sister Kim (the first to drive and therefore the first to be sent on errands) was mortified if my mother gave her coupons to use at the supermarket.

Now that we are older (and wiser) we too coupon, and refund and make the most of our bucks. Here is my blog dedicated to rewards/coupons/incentives.

My sister kim is now one of those people who will get $300 worth of stuff and have them pay her to take it. (I may be exaggerating, but only slightly)

I am Stacey a SAHM of a 9 month old daughter living in the FL panhandle. Welcome.
